Working with Outside Agencies

As an Ofsted registered childminding setting, we carry out regular observations of your child(ren). Please see our Observation policy. It maybe that these observations bring to light additional needs/requirements which can only be fulfilled by outside agencies, for example, Speech Therapist, Physiotherapist, Health Visitor etc.

Having highlighted these additional requirements we will fully discuss with you the parent(s)/carers how these needs/requirements may be met and which outside agencies could be involved. We will then assist you in obtaining the required help and will work closely with the relevant outside agencies to ensure the highest quality of care and support can be given.

We will only give/share appropriate information with any outside agencies with parent(s)/carers permission in line with GDPR 2018.

There are occasions for example Child Protection issues where it is necessary to involve certain outside agencies such as Social Care without the parent(s)/carers knowledge or permission. (Please see our Safeguarding Children Policy and our Data Retention Policy).
