As an Ofsted registered Childminding setting we are aware that our role is to keep children safe. Whilst children need to interact with
other children and adults it is our responsibility to ensure the suitability of those that come into contact with the children during minded hours.
- Any regular visitors to our setting will be asked to complete a CM2 form and will undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service
check.
- We will not leave any minded children in any room alone with a visitor, unless we
know they have been DBS cleared, for example another Ofsted Registered Childminder, CSO or Ofsted inspector.
- We will not allow any visitors to take minded children to the toilet or change
their nappies.
- We will Request identification from all visitors not known to us and will refuse
entry if we are unsure.
- We have a visitor’s book which is available for you to view upon request, and all
visitors to the setting are required to fill in this book.
- We do request that any visitors to our setting are mindful of where they park, and
do not obstruct the local resident’s driveways, and parent(s)/carers are welcome to use our driveway.
- We have a state of the art CCTV system installed at the setting to enable us to
monitor the premises and see and confirm who is at the front door prior to admitting entry.
- As we are caring for other children as well as your own, we have to insist that you
do not take photographs in the setting, either with cameras or with mobile phones, this is in line with current legislation and is a legal requirement. (Please see our mobile phones and cameras policy).
