Sickness

If your child becomes ill whist in our care, we will make them as comfortable as possible. We will then contact the parent(s)/carers immediately if we are unable to contact the parent(s)/carers we will contact one of the emergency numbers from the child record form and continue to look after them until someone arrives to collect the child(ren).

Should a child in our care be required to attend hospital due to illness the same procedure will be adhered to as our Accident/Incident policy.

Children who are infectious should be kept away for a minimum period to minimise the risk of any cross infection. If a child has a cough or cold they are not excluded but if they are unwell we would ask you to keep them at home.
