Late Payment of Fees

Late Payment of fees

We work as a registered childminding setting, as we love caring for children and supporting their development, however it is our chosen career and a business. Like you we too have bills and expenses to meet each month and therefore require a regular reliable income. We would be grateful if you could ensure that you are prompt in paying your fees on or before the *due date.

We would point out that it the parents/carers responsibility to ensure that payments have been made on time by any third parties, such as voucher schemes, tax credits, or funding schemes.

At present TinyTots are happy to accept vouchers as a viable payment method, and we realize that the tax implications are attractive to you the parent(s)/carers, however, TinyTots reserve the right to not accept vouchers, and insist on full payment should there be any problems with payments being cleared by the *due dates.

*Due Date:

If your childcare is being paid for on a monthly basis the due date is deemed to be on or before the 27th of the month BEFORE your child is due to attend.

If your childcare fees are paid on a weekly basis the due date is deemed to be the Sunday prior to your child attending. E.g. If your child’s first day is the Monday at 9am the monies must be cleared prior to Midday on Sunday before attendance. If your child’s first day of attendance is a Thursday, then the monies must still be cleared prior to Midday on Sunday before attendance.

If we have not received cleared payment by the *due date, we will issue you with a polite reminder, usually by text, verbally, or by email. Please note however, it is the parent(s)/carers responsibility to ensure that funds are cleared in our accounts, on or before the due date, and not the responsibility of TinyTots to remind you of payments due. If we have still not received payment by the following day, we reserve the right to make an additional charge or “Late payment Fee” as per our contract plus any additional costs to cover any bank charges which may have been incurred. If at this point we still have not received payment we reserve the right to cease minding your child with immediate effect, and, as you will be in breach of contract, you will forfeit your deposit. We will then seek legal advice from the PACEY’s Legal Team. This may result in you being summoned to attend a hearing at County Court, and when the judge finds in our favour, you will also be liable to the Court for costs plus any costs incurred by TinyTots relating to court attandance.

If you have had a change in personal circumstances and are now struggling to make payments, please let us know so we can make suitable arrangements. It may be that you are now entitled to additional funding through the Childcare element of the Working Tax Credit, Nursery Education Funding and other schemes or benefits.
