Inclusion

The Statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage states that:

"Every child deserves the best possible start in life and the support that enables them to fulfil their potential".

Our Childminding Setting is inclusive. This means that we will provide an equal opportunity to everyone entering our home, regardless of their; gender, nationality, ethnic origin, ability, religious beliefs, status, sexuality, age, social or economic background, and we will challenge any remarks or behaviour that we feel may be inappropriate.

We encourage the children in our care to learn more about their own culture and to find out about the cultures and religions of other children. We encourage parent(s)/carers to share with us any festivals, or special occasions which may enhance the children's learning and understanding.

Every child is an individual and unique. We will work with parent(s)/carers and families to ensure their individual needs and interests are met and that they are able to achieve to their full potential. We will ensure that all children feel valued.

We will offer a flexible approach, where possible, to the children’s care and learning and this may involve treating children differently, according to their abilities etc. If a child has a physical disability we will endeavour to reduce any physical barriers to their participation in all activities where possible.

In our setting all children will be taught from an early age, to value diversity in others to enable them to grow up making a positive contribution to society.
