If a child is not collected within 15 minutes of due collection time, and we have not been informed of the delay. We will try calling the parent(s)/carers contact numbers. If there is no response, we will then we will try the emergency contact numbers listed on the contract/child record form.
During this time, we will continue to safely look after the child.
We will continue to try the parent(s)/carers contact numbers and emergency numbers. But, after a reasonable amount of time – 1 hour from the original agreed collection time, we will then inform the local authority duty social worker.
